Tthings are starting to pick up in the waters off Cabo San Lucas. While we still have to contend with cold, green water until we get out 15 or so miles, there has been a significant uptick in marine life once we get into clean, blue water. Once there, we’re getting our fair share of opportunities to pitch live baits at tailing striped marlin. We’ve also been spotting porpoise, and with them some pretty nice yellowfin tuna to 50 lbs. Swordfish have also made their presence known and have been spotted as close as 3-4 miles out from the Arch along current rips in green water. A couple of swords have been taken over the last few weeks including mid 200 pounders along with a nice 340 pound slob the second week of March.
